Sundar Nagar (Himachal Pradesh): Undeniably, the tourists are pouring into Himachal Pradesh from other states. However, some tourists entering the state are unfurling flags of the banned Khalistani organisations and posters of Jarnail Singh Bhindranwale. These anti-national elements are triggering anxiety and fear among the people living in the region.

Every day, incidents of assault by tourists are being reported on the roads of Himachal Pradesh. These incidents are making the locals feel insecure due to the anti-national activities being carried out by some rogue tourists. Such incidents are frequently being reported from the Chandigarh-Manali National Highway 21, which is also one of the busiest highways in the state because of the large volume of tourists entering the state.

It is surprising that despite the presence of policemen, people carrying the Khalistani flags are reaching Manali in Kullu district, passing through Mandi and Bilaspur district. SP Mandi, Shalini Agnihotri said that the matter has come to their notice and an investigation has been ordered on such incidents. She said that policemen posted on the National Highways have been instructed to keep a close watch on such unlawful activities.
