Stranded in Kuwait, Himachal youth seeks govt help for return

A resident of Himachal Pradesh's Una, stranded in Kuwait due to the coronavirus induced lockdown has requested Prime Minister Narendra Modi to help him return to India. Rishab Sharma, an engineer by profession, is stuck in Kuwait for the last three months.

Una (Himachal Pradesh): An engineer from Himachal Pradesh's Una district stranded in Kuwait appealed to Prime Minister Narendra Modi to help him return to India. For the last three months, Rishab Sharma is stuck in Kuwait without work.

He was supposed to return on April 6, however, due to the Coronavirus induced nationwide lockdown from March 25, all international flights were cancelled and he is stuck there since.

In a video message, Rishab Sharma narrated his plight and requested the state and central government to help him get back. His parents have also urged the authorities to take quick actions for his return.

"We request Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the Civil Aviation Minister to help my son return to India as soon as possible as my wife's condition is deteriorating and she is suffering from depression," Rishab's father said.

Una District Magistrate, Sandip Kumar said that we have advised all the stranded Indians to stay in touch with the Indian embassy and added that the repatriation flights will soon be arranged for them.
