Sirmaur: State’s first COVID-19 AYUSH hospital kick-started its services at Nahan in Himachal Pradesh's Sirmaur district on Wednesday.
The hospital was inaugurated by Health and Family Welfare Minister Dr Rajiv Saizal on August 14.
Deputy Commissioner of Sirmaur, Dr RK Pruthi, said that asymptomatic COVID patients would be treated in this hospital using the Ayush-based systems like Ayurveda, yoga, homoeopathy, naturopathy, etc. Ayush decoctions would also be used to enhance immunity.
He said that panchakarma, mud therapy, etc., would also be provided to the patients in this hospital.
The ground and first floors of this hospital have been converted into OPDs and wards for 16 patients have been created. Panchkarma, mud therapy, etc., would also be provided to the patients in this hospital.
It is the first such COVID-19 AYUSH hospitals in the country, where people will be treated with both AYUSH as well as homoeopathic methods, Deputy Commissioner Pruthi added.
