Dharamsala: Heavy rains triggered landslides and cloudbursts at various places near Dharamsala and Kangra on Saturday.
DC Rakesh Kumar Prajapati informed that Palampur was drenched by an unprecedented cloudburst, leaving rivers and roads flooded.
In the morning, 5 people were trapped in Om Hydro Projects. However, they were later rescued by the Police and Tehsildar of Palampur.
"We have requested people not go near any river or nallah and SDMs of the district have been deployed in these areas," DC Rakesh Kumar Prajapati said.
The DC informed that it had disrupted the traffic at several points which paralysed the normal life in the far-flung areas. However, work to clear the debris from the roads had been undertaken on a war footing,
