Campaign to clean Ganga through rafting starts in Devprayag

Union water Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat today flagged off rafting and canoeing expedition from Devprayag to Bakkhali Sea Beach, Kolkata, to spread awareness about water conversation and river rejuvenation.

Dehradun(Himachal Pradesh): In order to connect people across the country with the Clean Ganga Mission and to create awareness, the Modi Government has started the Ganga Invitation Campaign.

Under this, Union Water Power Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat has started the 'Ganga Invitation' campaign from Devprayag. Through which people will be made aware on a large scale for cleaning the Ganges.

The 'Ganga Invitation' campaign started from Devprayag in Uttarakhand from 10 October under the Namami Gange scheme.

This campaign will be carried out from October 10 to November 11 from Devprayag in Uttarakhand to Gangasagar in West Bengal through rafting in the Ganges river.
