Rewari (Haryana): The air of Jatusana village in Haryana's Rewari district fills with the fume of patriotism.
Jatusana is among those few villages in the country whose brave sons are protecting the boundaries and made the country proud in every battle fought by the nation.

Every tenth soldier in the Indian Army hails from Haryana. That's why Haryana is known as ‘Texas of India’.
The true fervour of patriotism is visible especially in Jatusana village, located in the Rewari district.
Although on the first appearance there is nothing different in this tiny hamlet, once one gets into the village, he/she can easily discover the speciality that makes the village unique, that is the passion for serving the country.
Soldiers are the pride of the village
Not only the soldiers from Jatusana took part of Her Majesty’s forces in World War I and World War II, but, probably Jatusana is the only village in the country whose soldiers have bravely held the fort in the wars, fought by India in 1962, 1965 and 1971.
Retired Major TC Yadav recalls the legacy of Jatusana
In an exclusive interview with ETV Bharat, Tarachand Yadav, a resident of Jatusana (falling in the Kosli constituency in the state legislative assembly), said that his great-grandfather was a Havaldar in the Army. Following his footsteps, his grandfather and his father too served the motherland through their service in the Indian Army.
For three generations of Yadav were serving as Army personnel, then how could he remain untouched by the patriotic emotion.
Dr Major TC Rao was a part of ‘Operation Pawan’ that was completed in 1989, as a planning officer.
Later in 1999 Kargil war, he played a crucial role in achieving the humiliating defeat of Pakistan.
Every young man dreams to be an Army Man
After the Kargil war, Major TC retired from the Army, but the passion to serve the motherland did not diminish.
He started social service in his village, Jatusana. Also, he tries to motivate the youth of his district, to take inspiration from their elders and forefathers and join the Army.
More than 17,500 are on service
Every trimester recruitments are made for the Indian Army from the Charkhi Dadri office. Every year 1400 to 1500 of the recruited soldiers hail from Rewari.
Rewari has 5,848 retired soldiers
Currently, the district is the home of 5,848 retired soldiers.
As per the statistics, it is also revealed that 111 officers and 4 widows of deceased martyrs are getting pensions.
Further 20 soldiers and 42 widows of deceased martyrs, who had participated in World War II, are being benefited by Army stipends.
