Third accused in Nikita murder case arrested

The third accused in the Nikita murder case was arrested by Faridabad Police. The 21-year-old woman was shot dead outside her college in Ballabgarh in Haryana's Faridabad. The incident had sparked outrage as the family took to the streets to protest against the police and accused.

Faridabad (Haryana): Faridabad police arrested the third accused in connection with the murder of a 21-year old woman who was shot dead outside her college in Ballabgarh in Haryana's Faridabad district on Monday.

The third accused in the case, identified as Ajru, was arrested for providing pistol to the main accused Tausif. He was arrested from Nuh district after raids were conducted at dozens of places.

Earlier the two main accused involved in the incident were arrested. The first and second accused in the case Touseef, a resident of Gurugram, and Rehan, a resident of Nuh, were sent to police custody for two days.

The two accused, who arrived at the spot in a vehicle, tried to pull the woman inside. However, when she was shot after she resisted the abduction attempt.

She was taken to a hospital but later succumbed to injuries.

The whole incident which was captured in the CCTV installed in the area went viral on several social media platforms on Tuesday.
