Braving the COVID-19 threat, Monika and Vaibhav drive their bike to the markets every day and buy 100 litres of milk and 100 packets of biscuits with their own money.

The two BSc students are part of a group of 7-8 youngsters, who make it a point to feed helpless street dogs twice a day.

Speaking to ETV Bharat, Monika said that before the lockdown, when all schools and offices remained open, many people would feed the strays while going to work or on their way back home.

Now, their group has been feeding the poor animals for the past 15 days, she said.

Monika added that the dogs are now coming running towards them when they hear the sound of their bikes.

Meanwhile, Vaibhav said that the group will continue feeding the canines throughout the entire duration of the lockdown.
