Hisar: A 70-year-old farmer died of a heart attack while protesting against farm laws at Hisar in Haryana on Monday.
Ajaib Singh, a resident of Uglan village, was rushed to a nearby hospital where the doctors declared him dead.
Singh was active in the farmer protest from the beginning and came to participate in the demonstration in Hisar.
BKU leader Rakesh Tikait paid homage to him.
The protest comes at a time when the Samyukt Kisan Morcha (SKM) -- an umbrella body of more than 40 farmer organizations - leading protests against the three contentious federal agricultural laws has given a call to intensify the movement from May 26, when it completes six months of protests.
