Woman donates land worth 1.5 crores to gaushala

Birma Devi of Leelas village in Haryana said her soul was happy after she donated eight acres of land to a gaushala. Local people said from time to time she has done several notable works for the gaushala and the village.

Bhiwani: An elderly woman in Haryana has donated her entire property to a gaushala. Birma Devi of Leelas village of Sewani Mandi Tehsil donated about eight acres of her land, valued at around Rs 1.5 crore, and transferred it to the Naib Tehsildar in the name of a gaushala.

Birma Devi has no children and instead of giving her land to her family, she thought of giving it to Gaushala. After donating the land, she said that her soul is very happy today.

Media in-charge of Jai Hind Youth Club, Sushil Jiyani said that Birma Devi had earlier helped the government school in the village to construct two buildings in memory of her husband Bahgirath. From time to time she has done several notable works for the gaushala and the village.

Birma Devi's husband Bhagirath Jeyani died 10 years ago. Villagers say that in today's time every person is ready to fight for an inch of land, but Birma Devi has done commendable work by donating land.
