Sonipat: Up in arms against the newly enacted farm laws, farmers' protest on Thursday led to the forced closure of Reliance mall in Haryana's Sonipat district.
The farmers, including women, also staged a protest in front of the mall demanding to repeal the laws from the government.
Speaking to ETV Bharat, protesting farmers said that the government is busy in filling the pockets of big capitalists like Ambani and Adani and ignoring their demand.
"We will continue protesting until the farm laws are revoked by the government. We would also boycott all products of Reliance Industries Limited, including the Jio SIM cards," they said.
It is pertinent to mention here that farmers on Wednesday rejected government's proposal over the farm laws and called for a nationwide sit-in protest on December 14.
The protest against the farm laws has been going on since November 26. The central government has held five rounds of talks with the farmer leaders, but no breakthrough has been achieved yet.
