Hisar (Haryana): As many as seventeen juvenile inmates escaped from an observation house in Hisar after attacking jail staff on Monday.
The police sources said the juveniles facing charges in different cases seemed to have planned in advance and make good their escape.
The police have sounded an alert and sealed the borders of the district.
SHO Manoj Kumar Yadav said, "Around 6 pm when the inmates were given food they attacked the jail staff and three staff were injured. There are 97 inmates in this observation house."
"After a count, it was found that 17 juvenile inmates escaped. Further investigation is underway," he added.
It may be informed that a similar incident occurred in June 2017 when a group of six juvenile undertrials from observation home fled in a similar fashion.
They too had attacked the security staff inside the observation home when the staff was taking water campers inside.
They had attacked the security guard with an iron road and the snatched the keys and make good their escape by crossing two layers of security.
