Anand: While Covid-19 cases and death toll continue to mount in the country, Jayaben, a 58-year-old woman who suffers from cancer and diabetes has braved Covid-19 after surviving on ventilator for twenty-four days. The woman hailing from the Khambhat region has instilled hope while Covid scare continues as a pall of darkness.

After testing positive for Covid-19, Jayaben was admitted to hospital, but later she was given ventilator support as her oxygen level dropped heavily. She was kept on ventilator for 24 days and she needed 45 to 50 liters of oxygen. Her diabetes level aggravated the condition, according to sources.
Jayaben advised people not to panic if one tests positive for Covid-19. They should face the situation bravely and firmly. Positive thinking can cure any kind of ailment, she said. She advised people to wear mask and follow the corona guidelines to save oneself from the pandemic.
Doctors and medical staff continued to be her source of support and strength. They encouraged her to think positively and she was confident of her recovery.

She thanked the hospital staff while she was discharged from the hospital. She expressed gratitude to the chief of cardiac hospital Jignesh Patel, cardiologist Dr Pradeep Jadav, Dr Deep Vasu, Dr Ujjwal Patel, Dr Harshal Soni, Dr Mohit Patel, trustees, nursing and para medical staff.
