The man was sitting on a bench at Lucky Paan Parlor located in Janta Nagar when the serial criminal stabbed him for giving him an "advice" to keep away from crimes.

Ahmedabad: In a shocking incident, an elderly man was stabbed to death by a serial criminal for giving an “advice” to the accused in Gujarat's Ahmedabad, officials said on Thursday. Police is on the lookout of the accused, who remains at large. It proved to be costly for the elderly man in Ahmedabad city to give the right advice to a young man.

The advice infuriated the accuse, who is said to be a serial offender that he stabbed the elderly man to death. The incident has come to light in Ramol, eastern area of Ahmedabad city. It is learnt that the accused, released on bail, was advised by the old man not to commit wrongdoing, but the young man stabbed him to death in anger.

An official said that the victim has been identified as 61-year-old Muzaffarkhan Pathan, a resident of Janta Nagar under Ramol police station area. The official said that on May 2, the deceased and his friend Shakeel Ahmed were sitting on a bench at Lucky Paan Parlor located in Janta Nagar. When Moin Khan, a serial offender, who had been recently released on bail passed through the area, Pathan advised him not to indulge in crimes.

It is said that Moin Khan, who had come out on bail in a case a day before got angry at Pathan. In a fit of rage, accused Pathan attacked Pathan with a knife and fled from there. The injured elderly man was taken to the hospital where he died during treatment. While confirming the development, ACP R.D.Ojha, in-charge of the concerned police division said that they have launched a manhunt to nab the accused.

He further said that a case has been registered into the incident.
