The five-year-old girl was kept at the parking space of a housing colony when the hospital staff took pity on her and brought her to the safe zone of the SVP hospital. The doctors, deputy municipal commissioner Dr. Om Prakash and the inspector of the Ellisbridge police station are now trying to persuade her relatives to take the charge of the girl.

A resident of the SP Ring Road, who owns a private company, was detected as a positive case of coronavirus three days ago. Thereafter, his wife also tested positive while their five-year-old daughter’s report came negative. This made the parents anxious as to who would now take care of their child.

They then requested their friend, who resides in Canada but hails from Ahmedabad, to give shelter to the child at his parent’s house. While the friend’s parents agreed to take care of the child, other members of the housing society opposed the move despite fervent plea.

“She is a small child whose mother and father are both in the hospital, so she needs the support of a family,” they pleaded but the members of the society did not budge.
