Yoga, Zumba exercises to keep Delhi Police personnel fit, energetic

To keep themselves fit and energetic, Delhi Police personnel are practising Yoga, doing Zumba exercises besides jogging and running.

New Delhi: To deal with the ever-increasing pressure of policing, long work hours and the challenge to stay fit physically as well as mentally, the Delhi Police have been organising Yoga camps in various police stations of Dwarka district wherein the police personnel would practice Yoga, do some Zumba exercise besides jogging and running.

Speaking to ETV Bharat, Dwarka Additional Commissioner of Police, Satish Kumar said that the police personnel do jogging, running, and Zumba, which is a type of fitness activity done with the music in these Yoga camps."We also do stretching exercises so that all body parts remain flexible," he said, adding that there are other exercises done to strengthen the muscles.There are breathing exercises to keep them calm and stress-free, he said.

"We try to focus on every aspect of one's health. It's a holistic exercise programme for the police personnel," the police official added.
