New Delhi: With the exit polls for the Delhi assembly election predicted a thumping victory for the ruling Aam Aadmi Party, BJP Vice President Dushyant Gautam on Sunday said that we don't trust the exit polls, but believe in exact figures.
Speaking to ETV Bharat, Gautam said, "BJP will come to power with a definite majority and it will be clear once the results are out on Feb 11."
"The enthusiasm which I saw in the people of Delhi on the polling day made me feel like that 2019 Lok Sabha elections are underway as the crowd came to caste vote in large numbers," said Gautam, who is claiming that NDA will form the government with an absolute majority as BJP party-workers have worked wholeheartedly for the same.
"Exit polls have often been proved wrong in the past. So, it is not always necessary that exit polls are correct," he added saying that we cannot entirely rely on exit polls prediction.
On being questioned that will Manoj Tewari be the next chief minister of Delhi, he said, "We will choose the CM of the national capital from the MLAs who will win from their respective seats."
