New Delhi: In yet another incident of prisoners clashing inside Tihar Jail, two prisoners were injured after one of the inmates allegedly attacked them with sharp weapons on Saturday. One of the inmates who was seriously injured was admitted to Deen Dayal Upadhyay Hospital.
Earlier on September 18, two inmates lodged in Tihar were injured after they attacked each other with sharp-edged objects.
In a similar incident on September 11, two inmates of the jail were injured after a clash broke out between them. The inmates had suffered injuries after they attacked each other with sharp edged-objects.
Two undertrial prisoners of Tihar had sustained injuries when they were attacked with sharp objects by fellow inmates in separate incidents on September 12 and 13. Both the attacks had taken place in jail number three of the prison.
Earlier in August, a prisoner was found dead under suspicious circumstances at jail number 3. According to police sources, many injury marks were found on Ankit's body, raising the possibility of murder.
After the incident, an FIR was lodged at Hari Nagar police station against four people, including a deputy superintendent of the prison.
Over a dozen such incidents have taken place in Tihar jail in the last two months.
