New Delhi: After being allegedly refused treatment and even a coronavirus test by many hospitals in the national capital, a man who tested positive for coronavirus died on Wednesday.

A video of his grieving son is doing rounds on social media where he can be seen putting out every details of his father's death. "My father initially had cough and cold then he developed mild fever, he went to nearby clinics where he was just given some normal medicines, his temperature wasn't even checked. After his condition deteriorated, he went to ESIC Hospital, Jhilmil where doctors asked him to undergo a corona-test. The situation got worse after hospitals denied to take his sample for corona-test," Aditya, son of the deceased added.

He also stated that his father was forced to travel 800 km to Bhopal in order to undergo a treatment. "After he reached Bhopal, he was immediately rushed to Jai Prakash District Hospital where he tested positive for coronavirus. On Sunday he succumbed to the deadly virus," Aditya explained.

According to doctors the concentration of oxygen in the blood had decreased to a great extent because of which he couldn't fight back. The incident, yet another case of patients allegedly being turned away by Delhi hospitals, has invited criticism from the Madhya Pradesh government.

It has also put a question mark on the claims of screening at railway stations as the man, who worked for a private firm in Delhi, had high fever when he boarded the Bhopal Express from Delhi.
