New Delhi: Triple Talaq Bill was passed in the Rajya Sabha on Tuesday with 99 votes. It was a long struggle to bring the Bill in the house amidst lot of opposition from various groups. Arif Mohammad Khan had to resign from his post in order to make the Bill a success. He expressed his views over the Bill exclusively with ETV Bharat.
The former cabinet minister said that he is content now that the Bill is passed and the evil practice will come to an end now.
"Muslim communities all over the world had ended the practice long back but India was still following it. Now Muslim women are free from this suppressing practice," he said.
