Tiwari's third consecutive roadshow

Bhojpuri singer and state BJP president Manoj Tiwari on Monday took out his third consecutive roadshow in his constituency from Seemapuri area and then went to Nandnagari and Sundarnagari. Tiwari is pitted against former Chief Minister and Congress heavyweight Sheila Dikshit and Aam Aadmi Party's Dilip Pandey. Delhi will vote on May 12.

New Delhi: Bhojpuri actor and singer Manoj Tiwari, re-contesting the North East Delhi Lok Sabha seat, held an 8-km-long road show in his constituency for the third consecutive day on Monday.

He kicked off the roadshow from Seemapuri area and then went to Nandnagari and Sundarnagari before culminating at Dilshad Garden.

Hundreds of Bharatiya Janata Party BJP workers raised slogans in favour of Tiwari, who is popular among the Poorvanchal voters.

He got down from his vehicle at several places to interact with residents. Many people could be seen on rooftops and balconies to get a glimpse of Bhojpuri star.

Tiwari is pitted against former Chief Minister and Congress leader Sheila Dikshit and Aam Aadmi Party's Dilip Pandey.

Earlier he held two 10-km and 15-km-long roadshows on Sunday and Saturday in Burari and Loni areas, respectively. He had held a similar roadshow earlier this week on the day of filing his nomination papers.

In 2014, the BJP leader defeated Anand Kumar of AAP by 1.50 lakh votes. Delhi will vote on May 12.
