Looking at the arithmetics, the Badal Dal will be able to easily bring one of its members to the committee. However, for the second member, neither the Badal Dal has a majority nor the Sarna camp.

The Sarna camp will need one vote. With the announcement of the election results in the past, Manjit Singh and Sarna have come together.

There were speculations that the Jago Party would support Sarna Dal for the sake of co-opted members. However, on the last occasion Parminder Pal Singh who is considered the most trusted of GK filled the form.

It is reported that Shiromani Akali Dal president Sukhbir Singh Badal is also in the process of meeting Manjit Singh. Although the possibility of cross-voting remains likely, Manjit Singh is sure to become the kingmaker.
