New Delhi: The Supreme Court bench led by the Chief Justice of India, SA Bobde, will hear a batch of plea tomorrow seeking an investigation into 26th January violence inflicted during the tractor rally of farmers.

On 26th January, Republic Day, the protesting farmers who have been agitating against the Farmers' laws since November last year, had taken out a tractor rally and come to Delhi. During the rally, some farmers had gotten violent, injured the police and waived their own flag on Red Fort. More than 100 police personnel were injured during the rally. Leaders of farmers unions and many politicians had condemned the violence and requested farmers to go back. Farmers also said that it was another faction which had indulged in violence and not them.

By evening that day, internet services in parts of Delhi and NCR were stopped. Many PILs had moved to the court against the violence and sought an investigation into the matter.
