New Delhi (India): The Supreme Court allowed senior Congress leader Ghulam Nabi Azad to visit Jammu and Kashmir for social work today.
Besides this, SC also allowed the Communist Party of India-Marxist (CPI-M) leader Mohammed Yousuf Tarigami to return to Srinagar this morning.
Mohammed Yousuf Tarigami was admitted at the AIIMS for treatment, the hospital discharged him today.
The court was hearing CPI-M General Secretary Sitaram Yechury's plea who challenged the Tarigami's detention.
Whereas, Ghulam Nabi Azad, the state's former Chief Minister has been allowed to visit Srinagar, Baramulla, Anantnag and Jammu by the apex court.
Azad has said that he would not hold any political rallies or indulge in political activities.
