New Delhi: After Prime Minister Narendra Modi mocked Congress leader Rajeev Shukla's claim of six surgical strikes taking place in UPA era, another Congress leader Ahmed Patel termed PM Modi's criticism as 'an insult of Jawans' and said the BJP is doing 'anything to win elections'.
Patel added that the Congress never took credit for the military actions conducted during its regime, and said whether it was the 1971 war or the recent air strikes, the credit must go to the forces.
"They wish to win elections anyhow. We never took credit whether it was air strikes or Bangladesh war, credit must go to forces. It's not Congress's insult, it's an insult of jawans," Patel told media.
