New Delhi: The National Students' Union of India has proposed Rahul Gandhi to be appointed as the president of the Indian National Congress on Sunday. The decision was taken during its two-day national executive "Sankalp" held in Delhi.
In a statement released by the NSUI, it is stated that Rahul Gandhi stands for the students and for their betterment. Gandhi fights for the justice of student's fraternity on varied subjects, the statement further added.
"We recognize Rahul Gandhi's love for student community and it truly empowers us. We re-affirm our faith in his leadership abilities and statesmanship under which India can reach great heights and develop into a peaceful society" the statement quoted.
