New Delhi: During the month of Ramadan, when every Muslim is performing namaz and practising fasts to clear their heart and body of any negativity, the dirty streets of Hauzarani village of New Delhi is worrying the community there.
People are forced to perform namaz on rugged streets where dirty water from sewer runs 24x7.
Usually, prayers are performed five times a day but during Ramadan, there is one additional prayer to be performed at night.
Maulana Mohammad Yunus of the mosque in Hauzarani village explains that he has been living in this area for 32 years and this problem has been there from the last 30 years.
Maulana Yunus said that there is a large Muslim population in this area and at the time of Ramadan more people visit the mosque.
"No government has taken any concrete steps regarding this problem," said Maulana Yunus .
He said that the legislator of Hauzarani area was aware of this problem but no concrete steps have been taken.
Maulana said that the legislators and leaders come to demand votes but do not understand the problems of people.
