New Delhi: With the elections of Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee (DSGMC) around the corner, allegations and counter-allegations are levelled against the old and current leaders of an autonomous organisation which manages Gurudwaras in Delhi.
Manjinder Singh Sirsa, president, DSGMC, has alleged that Manjit Singh GK has requested the Akal Takht, the top temporal seat of Sikhs, not to probe charges of corruption levelled against him.
Addressing a press conference here, Sirsa said Manjit Singh misused the DSGMC during his tenure and it has happened for the first time in the history of the DSGMC that the court of law raised objection on a DSGMC leader.
Sirsa said that Manjit Singh GK has approached Shiromani Akali Dal (Delhi) president Paramjit Singh Sarna to save him from the charges.
Earlier, Manjit Singh GK had complained against Sirsa to Akal Takht.
General elections of the DSGMC are scheduled to be held in January 2021.
