Man ends life after killing neighbour couple in Delhi

In strange circumstances, a 50-year-old man committed suicide by consuming poison after he allegedly killed his neighbour, a couple in front of their children in Delhi's Narela. Being informed, police recovered the dead bodies and sent for autopsy.

New Delhi: A 50-year-old man committed suicide after allegedly killing his neighbour couple following a personal dispute in Delhi's Narela, police said on Thursday.

Mohammad Mustak, a resident of Narela area in north Delhi, forcefully entered into the house of his neighbour Mohammad Hashim and Minnat Khatoon Bibi on Wednesday night and slaughtered the couple with a sharp weapon in front of their children.

Following the incident, the accused came back to his house and consumed poison to kill self, said police, adding, on the way to the hospital, Mustak died.

Meanwhile, a case has been registered and police have sent the bodies for postmortem.

Further investigation is underway.
