New Delhi: A major fire broke out at a clothing showroom in Central Market of Lajpat Nagar area on Saturday morning. The Delhi Fire Department has pressed as many as 70 firefighters into service.
Officials told media outlets that they received a call from I-block in Central Market around 10.20 am following which they sent 30 fire fighters initially. Even as they swung into action, they sought more personnel as the impact was high. As a result, another 40 firefighters were rushed to the spot. The cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained, sources said.
