JNU's health staff tests positive for COVID-19

The Jawaharlal Nehru University administration has asked all students and staff who visited the Health Centre to take note of any COVID-19 symptoms after a health staffer tested positive of coronavirus on Friday.

New Delhi: One staff member, pharmacist, of the Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) Health Centre has tested positive for COVID-19 on Friday, according to the varsity administration. This is the second such case reported in the university in the last five days.

However, JNU Registrar Pramod Kumar confirmed ETV Bharat that the staff was not staying inside the JNU campus.

The administration has asked all students and staff who visited the Health Centre to take note of any COVID-19 symptom developing in them. All members of the JNU community have been asked to follow COVID-19 guidelines to contain the spread of the infection.
