New Delhi: In a shocking incident, the dead body of an eight-month-old infant was found in a clinic run by a doctor at his house in Dwarka's Sector-12 on Saturday.
People in the neighbourhood alleged that few unidentified persons on Saturday morning, went to the doctor's clinic located at Pocket seven society in Dwarka to take the child's dead body along with them.
When the locals questioned them, they reportedly claimed that they were the family members of the child and have come to collect the dead body.
According to sources, the eight-month-old child died in a private hospital three days ago. When the family went to collect the dead body, hospital authorities informed them that the child's body is at a clinic in Pocket seven society.
However, the local people claimed that the woman, who was with the doctor, has accepted that the child's dead body was with her from the past three days in the clinic.
Expecting something fishy, people residing in the society immediately informed police about the matter.
"The dead body of the child has been sent for the postmortem to a government hospital," police said.
An investigation is underway.
