Fake chest thumping, Modi government's narrative towards National Security: Congress

While addressing the press conference, Congress spokesperson Pawan Khera took a jibe at Prime Minister Narendra Modi over the Naxal attack in Maharashtra by saying "Fake chest thumping and Empty slogans have characterised Modi government's narrative towards our National and Internal Security." While addressing the press conference, Khera said that the BJP has sought to "Deeply politicise" the blood and sacrifice of the country's jawans, but have become mute when such cowardly attack takes place.

New Delhi: The Congress party hit out on Modi Government over the Naxal attack in Maharashtra by saying "Fake chest thumping and Empty slogans have characterised Modi government's narrative towards our National and Internal Security."

Mentioning about the figures of the past 5 years, Congress said that 1086 Naxal attacks have taken place in which 391 jawans are being martyred and 582 civilians have been killed. Congress also alleged that the overall picture of Naxal attacks in the past 5 years further expose the 'tall claims' of PM Modi and BJP.

While addressing the press conference, Congress spokesperson Pawan Khera said that the BJP has sought to "Deeply politicise" the blood and sacrifice of the country's jawans, but have become mute when such cowardly attack takes place. He also asked will PM Modi take responsibility about the growing menace of Naxalism and said that despite the 'tall talks' Modi government haven't learnt any lesson from the Pulwama attack.

He further added, "Last month, when an Naxal attack took place in Dantewada, PM Modi desperately sought to pin the blame on the newly formed government of Chhattisgarh but the Stark reality is that the complete laxity and inability of the BJP in Chhattisgarh infighting naxalism stood exposed when security expert late KPS Gill stated in a interview that although Raman Singh and then the BJP government had appointed him to head anti naxal strategy in the state but had asked him not to do anything and just enjoy the parks."
