Delhiites outlook on Kejriwal's 'free travel for women'

A big debate prevails in the national capital on the decision of Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, who had recently announced free travel for women in Delhi Metro and DTC Buses. Some of them are happy, some are surprised and some have turned argumentative over Kejriwal's decision.

New Delhi: Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has announced free travel for women in Delhi Metro and DTC buses and this, now, has turned out into a big debate.

While on one side, the opposition parties have turned aggressive in voicing their opinions, on the other hand, the ETV Bharat team also went to different areas of Delhi to get people's reaction on Kejriwal's decision.

Women have expressed mixed opinions on the issue. While some consider the government's decision as good, others seemed surprised and few had various arguments lined up.

Talking to women and girls travelling daily via Delhi Metro, some did not believe in the announcement of Kejriwal's government. On the other hand, talking to women in Noida, some women argued that the Delhi Government's decision was wrong, logically.

Kalpana, who works in Noida, said that she does not consider this decision to be good. "This will burden the economy and the crowd management will go for a toss," she added.

The passengers travelling in the metro seemed happy with this decision, although some are confused due to lack of planning and information roadmap of this scheme.
