AAP MLA Amanatullah Khan's statement, Delhi cops seek legal opinion

Okhla MLA Amanatullah Khan, who is in trouble due to his statements against Dasna Temple's chief priest, Yeti Narasimhanand Saraswati, can get relief in this case. As per sources, the Delhi Police is taking legal advice regarding the FIR that was registered on his statement about the Dasna Temple priest.

New Delhi: Okhla MLA Amanatullah Khan, who is in trouble due to his statements against Dasna Temple's chief priest, Yeti Narasimhanand Saraswati, can get relief in this case. As per sources, the Delhi Police is taking legal advice regarding the FIR that was registered on his statement about the Dasna Temple priest.

In the preliminary investigation, it has been found that there is nothing objectionable in the statement of MLA Amanatullah Khan to initiate legal action against the AAP politician. However, the Delhi Police is taking legal advice on this matter.

According to the information, in a press conference held in the Press Club in April, Mahant Yati Narasimhanand, the chief priest of Dasna Temple made an objectionable statement. Okhla MLA Amanatullah Khan filed a written complaint to Jamia Nagar police station regarding this statement.

While filing the complaint, MLA Amanatullah Khan said that if Sharia law had been implemented in the country, Yati Narasimhanand's throat would have been slit for making such a statement. But there is a rule of law in India and he has full faith in it.

Delhi Police registered a case against Mahant Yeti Narasimhanand and also fired an FIR against the Okhla MLA Amanatullah Khan. The cases currently are being investigated by the Parliament Street police station. The Delhi Police have questioned Yeti Narasimhanand and Amanatullah Khan on their controversial statements.

Meanwhile, according to Delhi Police sources, the statement of Amanatullah Khan cannot be considered objectionable. The Delhi Police is now taking legal opinion in his case. If the legal opinion confirms that there is nothing objectionable about the AAP MLA Amanatullah Khan's statement, then it can update the court and close the case.
