New Delhi: Police Department across the nation has launched a massive manhunt to nab absconding wanted criminal Vikas Dubey, who is the prime accused in the Kanpur encounter where eight policemen were killed while seven sustained grievous injuries.
After Uttar Pradesh police, Delhi Police Federation president Ved Bhushan announced a reward of Rs 2.5 lakh for the police team which encounters Dubey.
Apart from this the federation has also demanded the Uttar Pradesh government to increase the reward amount from Rs 2.5 lakh to Rs one crore as leaking his information is a risky activity and people will not turn up for the same over a small amount.

Delhi Police Federation has also demanded stern action against the policemen for their suspicious involvement in the incident, over leakage of confidential information, by Yogi Adityanath led-Uttar Pradesh government.
"It is clear that Vikas Dubey was having police support and political influence and hence he got the courage to attack police team in Kanpur," Bhushan said.
Ved Bhushan stated that a case should be registered over the charges of conspiracy against the suspected police officials and politicians for their alleged support to the criminal.
