New Delhi: Reacting to the LNJP hospital's viral video, Delhi Health Minister Satyendra Jain on Thursday said that such incidents should not be 'sensationalised' as they become a source of discouragement for the medical staff.
The viral video, showing a dead body kept near the patients with no medical staff around, has been doing rounds on social media.
"We need to understand that our doctors, nurses, and medical staff are working day and night and such videos can be discouraging for them," said Satyendra Jain.
"There are doctors and nurses who have not been home, since the past 2-3 months," told Jain.
He also said that death is tragic and steps will be taken to fix the short-comings.
LNJP hospital has around 2000 beds and is the largest Delhi government hospital which is treating coronavirus patients. However, the viral video has raised serious questions regarding the functioning of the hospital.
