New Delhi: Even after long shifts treating COVID-19 patients, Dr Ajit Jain, deployed as nodal COVID officer at Rajiv Gandhi Super Speciality Hospital, has been putting up in the hospital to ensure treatment to the ailing patients round-the-clock.
Ajit Jain, who has been staying away from his family for the last few months to keep COVID-19 at bay, considers this crisis as an opportunity to serve people.
"It is really a pleasure for all corona warriors, we don't get tired rather we get motivated. These patients teach us the spirit to never give up. I am thankful to my teachers and mentors who trained us in such a way that we don't mind staying in a hospital ward for months together," he added.
As the number of coronavirus cases in Delhi continues to surge, Ajit Jain, who has been staying in the hospital for last few months, has been training other medical staffers and educating people to follow the social distancing norms religiously.

"I am always available for my patients, irrespective of time. I never switch off my phone, it is really challenging to stay away from your family for many months but I am glad that my wife and daughter understand the need of the hour as they come from the medical profession. I haven't met my family for a long time but that never discourages me to work hard every day," Jain told ETV Bharat.
Meanwhile, Delhi High Court on Friday while expressing concern over the spike in COVID-19 cases stated that the national capital is fast heading towards becoming the ''corona-capital'' of the country. According to the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Delhi on Friday recorded 19,581 active cases with 984 fatalities reported so far.
