New Delhi: After ETV Bharat highlighted the struggle of a cancer-corona patient to receive treatment in Delhi, the woman has been admitted to the G B Pant Hospital on Saturday, a source said.
A family of Jahangirpuri area of the national capital had been grieving after Govind Ballabh Pant Hospital refused to treat a cancer patient who tested positive for the coronavirus.

The daughter of the patient requested the government and hospital authorities for help after the condition of her mother deteriorated. "My mother was undergoing treatment in G B Pant Hospital for the last one year, during lockdown we took her to the hospital for chemo and we were asked to get corona test done first. My ailing mother tested positive for the coronavirus, though the results came five days later. Despite everything, G B Pant Hospital denied admission to my mother stating that there are no beds available. However, on the website we found out that lot of beds were available," the daughter of the cancer-corona patient said.
Amid the surge in corona cases across the nation, Delhi has recorded 15,311 active cases with 708 deaths reported till Saturday.
