Agra: A criminal, allegedly involved in the triple murder case of Sunday last, has been arrested after an encounter with the police here, official sources said.
Superintendent of Police, city, Rohan Prasad Botre said he was the third one to have been arrested in the case as two of the criminals had already been arrested.
He said police had cordoned off the area after a tip-off that he would be passing out from there. He started firing and got injured when the police retaliated.
Identified as Gajendra, the accused has been admitted to a hospital for medical treatment, the police official said, adding that he went to Manesar after committing the crime.
A family of three was killed in Nagla Kishanlal area late on Sunday last and the bodies were recovered the next morning.
