New Delhi: Delhi's Rouse Avenue Court on Wednesday adjourned the hearing till October 5 on a plea seeking action against Congress leader Rahul Gandhi under the POSCO Act in connection with a Nangal rape case.
During the hearing, the SHO of Barakhamba Road police station informed that he has sent the copy of the complaint to the DSP (Crime) for further necessary action. The court has directed the DSP to file the report at the next hearing.
The petitioner argued in the court that a similar petition has also been filed in the Delhi high Court. Meanwhile, the court has directed the petitioner's lawyer to verify the petition filed in the High Court.
Earlier, on September 22 Rouse Avenue Court had asked the Delhi Police to submit an action taken report on the plea. Delhi BJP media chief Naveen Kumar Jindal had filed the petition demanding an FIR against Rahul Gandhi to reveal the identity of the victim's family in the Delhi Cantt case. Naveen Jindal had alleged that "Rahul Gandhi has exposed the identity of the parents of the minor victim. FIR should be registered against him under POCSO Act."

On August 1, a nine-year-old girl was allegedly raped and killed by a priest and three employees of a crematorium near the Delhi Cantonment area in southwest Delhi. Following which, Rahul Gandhi had visited to meet her family members.
After the visit, Rahul Gandhi had posted the victim's family picture on his Twitter account, which was taken into cognizance by the National Commission for Protection of Child Rights and had ordered to remove Gandhi's tweet on 4th August. After that, Twitter had suspended Gandhi's account.
