CISF role critical in changing security scenario: MoS Home Kishan Reddy

The Minister of State (Home) G Kishan Reddy mentioned about the importance of the Central Industrial Security Force's (CISF) role in the changing security scenario in India. He was addressing the trainees during the e-passing out parade at CISF, NISA in Hyderabad.

New Delhi: The Minister of State (Home) G Kishan Reddy on Monday said that the role of Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) in the changing security scenario is very important as India is one of the fastest-growing economies in the world and the force should undertake regular threat assessments.

Addressing the 100 trainees consisting of 11 Assistant Commandant, 79 Sub Inspector and 10 Assistant Sub Inspector during the e-passing out parade at CISF, NISA Hyderabad, he said, "As part of CISF, the role of the new officers will be vital in our journey towards a new India and Atma Nirbhar Bharat."

"You are all aware that global security dynamics are undergoing a massive change and we need to regularly undertake threat assessments and accordingly enhance our capacity," he said while addressing a webinar from the North Block in New Delhi.

The Minister also praised the women personnel of the CISF and their role in securing the most critical assets of the nation.

He acknowledged that the women personnel have made many noteworthy contributions to the force and have proven to be a force multiplier for the CISF.

Rajesh Ranjan, DG CISF emphasized the role of CISF in protecting vital installations. He further said that the endeavor of CISF is to nurture the core underlying qualities like discipline, turnout, physical fitness, and professionalism of all the officers and personnel that render the vital edge in our functioning.

"Our forte has been our ability to keep pace with technological advances, our amiable human interface with the general public and above all our robust core competence," he added

During the occasion, Union Home Minister Amit Shah was also read by the DG, CISF.

Amit Shah praised the officers and personnel of the CISF for there uncompromising determination and immaculate professionalism in securing the citizens and national assets during the Covid-19 pandemic.
