New Delhi: Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad Sangma on Monday called on Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari and asked for his intervention to construct several critical highways in the state.
Sangma and a delegation from Meghalaya called on Gadkari at Motilal Nehru Marg and also submitted a detailed report of the ongoing national highways and some future projects in the state of Meghalaya.
"We have discussed a few ongoing projects and some future projects. He assured us that he will look into it," said Sangma to ETV Bharat.
Sangma has appealed Gadkari to improve border road connectivity.
