Cancer patient pleads Delhi govt for help amid corona-crisis

A cancer patient who was discharged from LNJP hospital in view of the corona pandemic, has been pleading state govt to help her get treatment as her health continues to deteriorate.

New Delhi: A 26 year-old cancer patient has been pleading for government's help after LNJP hospital discharged her on March 20 owing to the increase in number of coronavirus cases.

A video of the patient is doing rounds on social media in which she can be seen putting out her pain and struggle. "I have been suffering massively. I can't just get over this pain, this is my third stage of breast cancer. LNJP hospital discharged me without any recovery in my health, I just can't endure this pain, I urge government to come to my rescue," the cancer patient exclaimed.

Her sister stated that both of them come from a weak financial background, their parents passed away and they have nobody to look after them. "Both of us worked hard to earn money but after my sister was attacked by breast cancer, I have had tough times to arrange even two squares of meal a day," sister of the patient said.

With the increase in number of corona cases across the national capital, many hospitals are refusing to treat patients suffering from other serious ailments. On the other hand, Delhi on Wednesday recorded 18,543 active cases with 905 fatalities so far.
