New Delhi: As soon as disqualified Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) legislator Kapil Mishra joined BJP, the BJP workers started protesting against him and also burnt his effigy in his constituency of Karawal Nagar in Delhi
There is a lot of resentment among the party workers as they are upset about Kapil Mishra's induction to the party.
The workers are questioning the decision of accepting Mishra in the partyfold even as he bashed BJP and RSS while he was a member of AAP.
The worker demanded that Mishra should be expelled from the party as soon as possible.
Disqualified AAP legislator Kapil Mishra and party women's wing chief Richa Pandey joined the BJP on Saturday.
Speculations about Mishra joining the Bharatiya Janata Party were doing the rounds since he started criticising AAP supremo and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal after being removed as a minister in May 2017. He grew close to many Delhi BJP leaders and often shared a stage with them.
Mishra and Pandey joined the BJP at the party office here in the presence of vice-president Shyam Jaju and Delhi unit chief Manoj Tiwari, former Union minister Vijay Goel and leader of Opposition in the Assembly Vijender Gupta.
