New Delhi: As the national capital gears for elections next month, the Aam Aadmi Party's Kalkaji candidate Atishi Marlena on Friday expressed confidence that her party will win the upcoming polls.
Speaking to ETV Bharat, AAP candidate Atishi said, "Kalkaji is mini Delhi. There are slum areas that need development. The survey has been conducted and accordingly buildings will be constructed."
Focusing on education, she said: "The constituency has only seven schools and there is a need for more schools in future here."
Atishi will contest assembly elections for the first time from Kalkaji seat in Delhi replacing MLA Avtar Singh.
Expressing her confidence to win polls, Atishi said: "Last night, I meet a couple who said that we support AAP. They said that the colony has decided that Arvind Kejriwal will be the CM."
"To stop encroachment and parking, it is necessary to bring the stakeholders together and find out a solution for it," she added.
Atishi contested for the parliamentary seat from the East-Delhi constituency in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections but lost to cricketer-turned-politician Gautam Gambhir from the Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP).
