New Delhi: Shiromani Akali Dal President Sukhbir Singh Badal on Tuesday attended a meeting that consisted of Sikh and Muslim representatives from Uttar Pradesh.
Talking to media, Badal said: "All the members who were a part of today's meeting said that they wanted Shiromani Akali Dal to form a government in Uttar Pradesh so that it could work for the Sikhs and Muslims here. And therefore we have convened another meeting on May 3 to discuss our course of action in this regard."
The next is scheduled to be held on May 3 at Gurudwara Nanakpuri Sahib Tanda and various leaders of Akali Dal from different parts of UP will participate in it.
"Shiromani Akali Dal wants peace and brotherhood in the state and will discuss the plan to work for the same from May 3," he added.
