New Delhi: Expressing happiness over Prime Minister Narnedra Modi announcing an All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) for Darbhanga in Bihar, Ashwini Kumar Choubey, Minister of State for Health and Family Welfare, has said "it would help in realizing the dream of healthy Bihar".
In a message here, the minister said the proposed medical facility, to be built at a cost of Rs 1264 crore, would have 750 beds and have 100 seats for undergraduate medical students. It would also have 60 seats for BSC nursing, he said.
He said the central government is committed to provide modern medical facilities to the people of the country at a nominal price.
Earlier, Modi said that AIIMS at Bihar's Darbhanga will strengthen the health infrastructure in the state and boost his government's resolve for a "healthy India".
