New Delhi: Scuffle between the Delhi Commission for Women (DCW) and Delhi Police continues over the rape of a 12-year-old minor in Paschim Vihar area of the national capital.
Condemning the Delhi Police for delaying the arrest of the accused, DCW chief Swati Maliwal asked the police to file the charge sheet in the case as soon as possible.

While speaking to ETV Bharat, Maliwal alleged that police was not cooperating in the case in anyway.
"When the medical report itself proves that the minor was sexually assaulted and her private parts were badly injured, then why police are trying to display it as an attempt to murder?" asked Maliwal.
The DCW chief demanded that the death penalty be awarded to the accused within six months.
"It is the duty of the police to complete the legal procedure as early as possible to give justice to the child who is battling for life in Delhi's AIIMS, while day-by-day her health is deteriorating," DCW chief said.
The 12-year-old girl was brutally sexually assaulted by the accused, who also hit her face and head with a sharp object at her home in west Delhi's Paschim Vihar area on August 6.
The girl suffered several fractures in her body along with severe injuries on the head and stomach. She also had bite marks on her body, the report said.
Wishing a speedy recovery to the child, Maliwal urged Delhi Police to handle the case more sensitively and make sure that the minor will get justice soon.
