Dantewada: A woman Maoist was killed in an encounter with security forces which has triggered tension in Chhattisgarh's insurgency-hit Dantewada district on Thursday.
The Maoist has been identified Mangali, daughter of Naxal Commander Vinod.
Reportedly, Naxal commander's daughter was carrying a reward of Rs 5 lakh and was killed in a gunbattle on July 14 in Herold Ghumiyapal village.
Following which the Naxalites out of suspicion have allegedly resorted to violence and are attacking the villagers for the past 10 days.
In addition to this, the Maoists have also issued a decree for detention in the village.
According to police, "With the help of villagers, the police has got such a big success and security is also being provided to the villagers. Security forces will be deployed if any Naxal activity will be reported in the area".
Dantewada SP Abhishek Pallava said, "There are preparations for opening camps in many places, but camps can not be made in haste, they have to make complete preparation."
